100 Days Project - Day 30

Tussock Country, New Zealand
Day 30 - nearly one third of the way. Now that wasn't too bad, was it?! (laughs quietly)
Today we had a meet up (at Gaby Reade's home) of the artists taking part in this project with me. It was so so good to relax with friends and have a few laughs about our experiences so far. Next meet up it's my turn to make lunch. I'm looking forward to it already!
Last weekend, we had the Christchurch Art Show, which is another of my big annual events. This year I agreed to paint live onsite during the opening gala evening. It certainly produced lots of interested onlookers. It was also being filmed for a documentary. Luckily for me, one of the other artists placed a glass of delicious local wine in my non-artist-knife hand and somehow I managed to paint, talk and drink wine all at the same time! The little painting (300x300mm) shown is the gem I produced that night. Maybe I should drink and paint more often! Of course, that is one of my 100 paintings and also one of my Join Us in June for 30:30. While it does sound like an enormous lot happening, it does help to be able to combine two different challenges. :-)
Onwards and upwards
