New York! New York!

'Mt Oates with Kiwi Sign", Arthur's Pass, New Zealand 1000x500mm OIL

Hot off the press this morning!

It's official ... I am thrilled to share the news with you that I received all the way from New York City this morning!

Manhattan Arts International is featuring my artwork. I'm so excited that I just can't help but want to let my art collectors and fellow artists know!

Renee Phillips · New York, NY, United States ·

Welcome Ruth Reid Art to the Manhattan Arts International Artist Showcase Gallery. http://www.manhattanarts.com/ruth-reid-painting/ As you can see she is an incredible painter, inspired by the New Zealand landscape. Thank you Keith Morant for recommending us to her.

Mt Oates with Kiwi Sign - Arthurs Pass - New Zealand

Renee Phillips (the owner of Manhattan Arts International) says " Ruth, looking at this beautiful painting gave me an idea... You can shout it from the mountain tops and I'll shout it from the NYC building roof tops. :-) "

Stag Creek - Fiordland - New Zealand

This was one of the paintings which caught the eye of the Gallery owner. It was done from one of my son's photos. I wanted to paint it as soon as I saw it and I'm particularly fond of it. I liked the completely natural, unspoiled bush and stream with his friend wandering along the stones towards the light.

My thanks in particular to a local artist who is Internationally respected (Keith Morant) who introduced me to the owner of Manhattan Arts International.

Remember in my last eNewsletter these symbols? Well, they helped enormously in making the connections.

Exploring the uses behind these symbols has taken me the best part of 3 months. I've even added links to them on the opening page of my website. Already, some exciting new opportunities have been opened to me as a result.

If you happen to have accounts with any of the following social media platforms and would like to see what I'm up to, then click on the links below and 'like' my page/posts and you'll be 'in the know' as it happens!

I've also got Twitter, tumbler, Linkedin and Pinterest accounts which might or might not appeal. Some of the accounts are linked together, so there isn't as much work involved as I feared, once I got it all sorted.

Garden of Eden Ice Plateau - Southern Alps - New Zealand

This is another of the paintings which is being featured by Manhattan Arts International. It was done from photos taken many years ago (when I was young and much fitter!) and we stayed in this beautiful ice plateau. We even built a snow cave there and lived in it for 10 days while we climbed and explored the area.

I'm feeling absolutely honoured to have this opportunity ... and who knows where it will lead?

I'll be sure to let you know ...

Cheerio for now (I'm still smiling widely :-))

Ruth
