This was the first plein air painting I did - way back in 1986. My children (then very little) played in the isolated tussock (wild NZ grasses) while I painted. All through the years when I was busy working in the education sector, this painting was an inspiration to me that one day I might get a real opportunity to explore the world of watercolour and oils.
